PLAY
The IDDeal Foundation is dedicated to addressing pressing issues facing adults with I/DD, and this includes the need for community. Our Play pillar is essential to support our members in living their IDDeal life. With Play, we focus on creating social opportunities around establishing and building relationships. These connections foster inclusion in the world, providing our members experiences where they can gain valuable life experiences, explore new areas, and embrace what makes them uniquely human.

Play is essential to create the IDDeal lifestyle.
Play is dedicated to ending the social, emotional and physical isolation of people with I/DD. We want adults with I/DD to live life to the fullest, which is why we work to build an inclusive community where our members are given opportunities to connect and embrace what makes them uniquely human. IDDeal members get to enjoy safe, fun, and rewarding recreational activities that are tailored to the needs of people with I/DD.
In addition, we help our members, their caretakers, and families build long-term friendships and relationships and become integral members of their community.
Building Community Through PLAY
Meaningful connections are made through shared experiences.
At The IDDeal Foundation, PLAY is about creating inclusive social opportunities where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) can connect, celebrate, discover new interests, and build lasting friendships. From community events and holiday celebrations to recreational activities and special outings, every experience is designed to foster confidence, independence, and a true sense of belonging.
A fulfilling life is about more than having a place to work or live…
…it’s about having a community where you’re welcomed, valued, and included. Through our PLAY pillar, we’re creating opportunities for joy, connection, and memories that last a lifetime.
Interested in hosting or organizing a PLAY event? We’d love to partner with you to create meaningful experiences for our community. Email Denise at denise@theiddealfoundation.org to start the conversation.
